Everyone is cordially invited to the Summerland ARC Hamfest ("SARCFEST"). at the clubrooms, 414 Richmond Hill Road, Richmond Hill. 11km east of Lismore, off the Bruxner Highway.

8P1A Tops in 2008 CQ WPX SSB Claimed Scores
Taking aim at his third straight Single Operator title in the CQ WPX SSB Contest, Tom Georgens W2SC again has the high claimed score this year, as he leads FG/OM3LA by a wide margin. Georgens was the only single op to break 20 million points this year in what was another tough weekend in terms of propagation.

"Shootout" Expected in CQ WW CW Low Power Battle
The big question this year is can anyone stop Joseph "Bud" Trench AA3B as he tries for his fourth consecutive World Low Power victory from V26K in Antigua. Trench will draw some big time challengers this year, as John Crovelli P40W drops down from the High Power category and Scott Redd K0DQ makes a return to CQ WW as P40Q.

CQ WW SSB Logs Show More Evidence Of Possible Illegal Contacts
The CQ WW DX Contest Committee has posted the logs from over 5,000 competitors in the 2009 CQ WW SSB test, which gives you five months to learn something for this year's test. Meanwhile, a quick review by radio-sport.net again shows hundreds of possibly out-of-band contacts by stations in Europe as they make CQ WW SSB QSO's with VY2ZM in Canada.
