Everyone is cordially invited to the Summerland ARC Hamfest ("SARCFEST"). at the clubrooms, 414 Richmond Hill Road, Richmond Hill. 11km east of Lismore, off the Bruxner Highway.

After controversy erupted this Summer over the judging of the 2008 CQ WW DX Contests, three top members of the CQ WW Contest Committee will discuss what lies ahead in the 2009 SSB and CW contests in a special webinar sponsored by the Potomac Valley Radio Club, which will take place on Sunday, October 11 at 2200 GMT.

Bands Open, Some Records Fall In CQ WW CW
Despite solar conditions that had many worried about a lackluster weekend on the high bands, the 2010 CQ WW CW Contest was better than expected in terms of propagation, as defending Single Operator champ Valery Komarov RD3AF quickly staked his claim to a repeat of his 2009 CW victory, and a number of records fell in the US.

European Group Agrees To Judge 2010 IARU HQ Category
A group of European ham radio associations have agreed to take on the job of adjudicating HQ category entries for the 2010 IARU HF Contest, moving to fill the void left after the ARRL announced earlier this month that it would no longer judge the HQ competition because of past rules disputes.
