Everyone is cordially invited to the Summerland ARC Hamfest ("SARCFEST"). at the clubrooms, 414 Richmond Hill Road, Richmond Hill. 11km east of Lismore, off the Bruxner Highway.

ARRL Re-Issues 2008 RTTY Roundup Scores
After complaints showed that announced final scores were different than those in post-contest log checking reports, the ARRL was forced to re-score and re-issue the results of this year's RTTY Roundup. While none of the winners were knocked out of the top slot, some of the Top Ten finishers did get switched around.

CQ WW Chief Fires Back On Contest Cheats
With the CQ WW Contest Committee under fire over its handling of possible cheaters in 2008, Contest Director Bob Cox K3EST fired back this past week, arguing the committee has done its best to ferret out those who are breaking the rules in CQ WW DX. Cox's PR offensive though left many questions still unanswered about who might get a CQ WW contest visit in 2009.

Rising Tide of Logs Lifts IOTA Contest
The last weekend in July means that it's time for Island hunters to fill the airwaves, as the 2009 Islands on the Air Contest arrives. Limited propagation conditions in recent years have not hurt, as the number of logs submitted in 2007 and 2008 were close to 2000 each year, well above the previous record of 1500.
