Everyone is cordially invited to the Summerland ARC Hamfest ("SARCFEST"). at the clubrooms, 414 Richmond Hill Road, Richmond Hill. 11km east of Lismore, off the Bruxner Highway.

WRTC 2010 Finally Arrives In Russia
After years of preparation by Russian organizers, the 2010 World Radiosport Team Championship is finally here, as ham radio's "World Cup" of contesting will select the top pair of contesters in a unique Field Day-style competition near Moscow. This year's competition will use the internet to stream live video of the opening and closing ceremonies.

D4C (LY2CY) And VE3DZ/VP9 Lead 2008 WPX CW
A trip to the Cape Verde Islands seems to have paid off for Lithuanian contester Jurgis Ignotas LY2CY, as he holds the overall single operator lead in the 2008 CQ WPX CW Contest. The low power leader is Yuri Onipko VE3DZ, who operated from the VP9GE QTH on Bermuda. Meanwhile, CT9M leads all the multi-op entries, as there are tight races for various titles in the US and Europe.

Sunspots Turn Around In More Active January 2010
A year ago, it was almost impossible to find a day with sunspots in January of 2009. Fast forward to January 2010, and it was almost impossible to find a day without sunspots, as a steady stream of limited sunspot action is now visible on the Sun. It gives hope to those ham radio contesters and DX'ers who have been waiting for years for 10 and 15 meters to finally return on a regular basis.

P49X Takes Aim At More RTTY Wood In CQ WPX RTTY
