Everyone is cordially invited to the Summerland ARC Hamfest ("SARCFEST"). at the clubrooms, 414 Richmond Hill Road, Richmond Hill. 11km east of Lismore, off the Bruxner Highway.

New Firmware - V3.2 (UPDATED)

A new version of MMBasic is available for download at the bottom of this page. This version introduces four significant new features:
User defined functions that operate the same as built in functions within MMBasic.
Support for a DOS version of MMBasic that runs in a DOS window on Windows XP/Vista/7.
Dynamic memory management which dramatically increases the amount of useful memory available for programs and arrays.
Additional features for the Duinomite version including support for the hardware UARTs, measuring the battery voltage and other minor improvements.

The change log (included in the download) provides full details of all changes. The update can be applied via USB from a Windows computer and all software and instructions are included in the download.

Team Leader Entries In For 2010 WRTC In Russia
The entries are now in for team leader positions in qualifying for the 2010 World Radiosport Team Championships in Russia, as 76 contesters from around the world submitted paperwork in an effort to claim 44 spots in next year's world championships of ham radio contesting. In some cases, the biggest news was made by those who did not submit an entry, even though they would have qualified.

Conditions Still Down For 2009 CQ WW SSB
For the third straight year, the CQ WW SSB Contest arrives with propagation depressed on the HF bands, which will again force contesters to scramble for QSO's and multipliers, all courtesy of a still quiet Sun. It means another contest where you can expect crowded conditions on 20 and 40 meters and good low band conditions.
